New Webpage and Focus

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

It is a cliché, but change is a constant in this life. Some changes are abrupt and unwelcome interruptions. Other changes are more gradual, often welcome and brought about by the completion of a phase of life and our readiness to transition to new experiences and opportunities.

I’m in such a transition now. I’m about to retire from the Center for Organizational Design, the company I co-founded along with Preston Pond back in 1992. The consulting business has been good to me. It’s provided a good income, allowed me (us) to create products and methodologies that have benefited hundreds of organizations and hundreds of thousands of leaders and employees, and allowed me to meet wonderful people who have touched my heart and influenced my growth.

And now it’s time to say “goodbye.” This isn’t a fast transition. For the past couple of years I’ve been tapering by referring new business to professional colleagues as I’ve anticipated this next phase of my life.

My primary focus will now be a new webpage and blog under the name www.rogerkallen.com. Initially, I resisted using my own name as a business which seems, in some ways, a little egocentric. However, after talking with a number of marketers, I now realize that it is the best way to simply what I’m doing and integrate a number of initiatives and products into a single webpage. The main focus of my page will be my blog. I plan to write regularly on topics of personal development, happiness, and family life.

These are just the beginning of my personal changes. Other changes are coming as well, which I’ll write about in upcoming blogs. However, wherever I (or we, my wife and I) go and whatever comes our way, I hope to continue to support people in their growth and development. That is one constant for me.

I share this with you to know what is happening in my life and also to let you know that from now on my blogs will come from rogerkallen.com rather than the Hero’s Choice. This reflects that transition that I’m in. It also reflects that the work I’m doing is broader than one product.
